The seed for Leasure Developments was planted back in the late 1978, as a child I lived with my grandmother who happened to be a Real Estate Broker. I distinctly remember accompanying her to an old beat up ranch style home in Oroville CA. she had purchased for $25,000.00. I was fascinated as a little boy when we started tearing the home apart, breaking old things and throwing them in the dumpster. The thing that sticks in my mind the most is when we poured gasoline all over these over grown blackberry bushes and lit them on fire exposing a beautiful creek in the back yard. My grandmother explained to me that when we were done the house would be worth $37,000.00 and the tenants would pay all of the bills and the mortgage for her until she owned it free and clear. Getting paid to burn and break stuff. If that isn’t every young boys dream I don’t know what is!

Fast forward to 1992, I began purchasing old abandoned homes and fixed them up on the weekends. I did this for 15 years. I also built a successful union subcontracting business: capitolcitytile.com.

In 2007, I decided to retire from Capitol City Tile, and appoint a new president so I could focus on Leasure Developments. I decided I could no longer suppress my desire to participate in Real Estate full time. Leasure Developments now manages our own portfolio of over 226 units, worth $30,000,000.00. We manage and develop commercial buildings, vacation rentals, and apartment complexes. Our goal is to expand to a in house portfolio of $100,000,000.00 by 2015. Our mission is to provide quality places to work live and play.
